Who I am

Hello Friday is a marketing and growth advisory business operated by Allison Dore. I am the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

What this policy covers

This policy explains what personal information I collect, why I collect it, what I do with it and what rights you have. It applies to this website and to my dealings with clients, prospective clients and anyone who contacts me.

Information I collect

When you complete an enquiry form
Your name, email address, business name, website address if you provide one, and the answers you give about your business, your goals and your timescales.

When you subscribe to emails
Your name and email address.

When you become a client
Contact details for you and relevant members of your team, plus information about your business that you share with me during our work together. This may include commercial information, marketing data and customer data where it is necessary for the work.

When you visit this website
Standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. This is collected through cookies and analytics tools. See the cookies section below.

I do not knowingly collect special category data, such as information about health, ethnicity or political opinions, and you should not send it to me.

Why I use it, and the legal basis

To respond to your enquiry and decide whether I can help.
Legal basis: legitimate interests, specifically responding to someone who has contacted me about my services.

To provide advisory services to clients.
Legal basis: performance of a contract.

To send marketing emails, where you have asked to receive them.
Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

To meet legal and accounting obligations, such as keeping financial records.
Legal basis: legal obligation.

To improve this website and understand how it is used.
Legal basis: consent for non-essential cookies, legitimate interests otherwise.

If you submit an enquiry, I will use your details to reply to that enquiry. I will not add you to a marketing list on the strength of an enquiry alone.

Who else sees your information

I use the following service providers, who process information on my behalf:

  • GoHighLevel for customer relationship management, forms, email and scheduling. Data may be processed outside the UK, and appropriate safeguards are in place.
  • Xero for accounting.
  • Google Analytics for website analytics.

I may also share information with my accountant or professional advisers where necessary, or where I am legally required to disclose it.

I do not sell your personal information, and I do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

How long I keep it

Enquiries that don’t lead to work — up to 24 months, in case you get back in touch.

Client records — for the duration of our work together and for six years afterwards, to meet accounting and legal requirements.

Marketing subscribers — until you unsubscribe, and for a short period afterwards to make sure you are not contacted again.

Website analytics — as set by the analytics provider, typically up to 26 months.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information I hold about you
  • ask me to correct anything inaccurate
  • ask me to delete your information, in certain circumstances
  • ask me to restrict how I use it, in certain circumstances
  • object to my using it where I rely on legitimate interests
  • ask me to transfer it to another provider, in certain circumstances
  • withdraw consent at any time, where I rely on consent

If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
